The Forbidden Questions

Some mysteries are best left unsolved. Wedding logistics are not. Here you'll find answers to the questions most frequently asked by curious guests brave enough to seek them out...

What should I wear?

Our wedding attire is Black Tie Optional with a Dark Academia flair. Think elegant, timeless, and comfortable for an autumn celebration in the North Georgia mountains. We encourage guests to embrace rich colors, classic silhouettes, and their own personal style while keeping the overall atmosphere in mind.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

The Wedding Mass, reception, and after-party are indoors. Exploring the Dahlonega Square between events will be outdoors, so comfortable shoes and a light jacket may be helpful.

Is the wedding family-friendly?

Children are warmly welcome to join us for the Wedding Mass and the Halloween festivities on the Dahlonega Square, including trick-or-treating from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Following trick-or-treating, professional childcare will be provided for our younger guests for the remainder of the evening. While we adore your little ones, the reception and after-party will be an adults-only celebration. We hope this allows parents the opportunity to relax, enjoy the evening, and celebrate alongside us.

If you have any questions about childcare arrangements, please don't hesitate to ask.

Will childcare be available?

Yes. Childcare will be provided during trick-or-treating on the Dahlonega Square and throughout the remainder of the evening so parents can relax and enjoy the celebration.

Can my children participate in trick-or-treating?

Yes! Trick-or-treating takes place on the Dahlonega Square from approximately 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Halloween evening. Children are welcome to participate.

Is transportation provided?

No transportation is planned at this time. One of the reasons we chose Dahlonega is its walkability. Most downtown hotels, the church, reception venue, shops, restaurants, and after-party locations are within walking distance of one another.

How much walking should I expect?

Enough to earn dessert. Most wedding activities take place within the downtown area, making it easy to enjoy the day on foot.

Where should I stay?

Please visit The Dahlonega Chapter page for recommended hotels, inns, and vacation rentals. We encourage guests to book accommodations early, as Halloween weekend is one of the busiest times of the year in Dahlonega.

When should I RSVP?

Please respond by August 31, 2026. Even magic requires a head count.

May I bring a guest?

Your invitation will indicate the number of seats reserved in your honor.

Will there be vegetarian or dietary-friendly options?

Yes. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions when completing your RSVP, and we'll do our best to accommodate them.

Will there be costumes?

Halloween costumes are not required, but we fully support tasteful Halloween socks, accessories, and a touch of whimsy.

What if it rains?

Then we'll have even more dramatic dark-academia photos. Fortunately, our major events are indoors.

What happens after the reception?

For those who aren't quite ready for the story to end, we'll continue the celebration at The Underground beginning at 9:00 PM.

Will there be magic?

We certainly hope so.

What if I have a question that isn't answered here?

Consult the Oracle below and send us a message. We'll do our best to solve the mystery.

A Walkable Celebration

One of the things we love most about Dahlonega is its small-town charm and walkability.

For guests staying in downtown Dahlonega, nearly every part of the day can be enjoyed on foot. Hotels, shops, restaurants, the Dahlonega Square, St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 27 on Park, and The Underground are all located within a short walk of one another.

Our hope is that you'll be able to park the car, slow down, and spend the day exploring the town at your own pace. Wander the square, discover a hidden bookstore or coffee shop, enjoy the mountain air, and simply be present as we celebrate together.

No shuttles. No schedules. Just a charming North Georgia town, good company, and a little bit of magic.
